Flat culture

Space has always been a big challenge for Kerala as it is one of the smallest states. Flats have solved this problem to an extend. Apartments are good as they ensure proper maintainance and security. Whatever be the reason, people of Kerala have wholeheartedly approved flat culture. Kochi has transformed in to a city of flats leaving behind individual house trend. Real estate in Kochi

Real estate in Kochi looks forward to brighter days with the International Container Transshipment Terminal at Vallarpadam being inaugurated and the obstacles cleared for the SmartCity project. The Cyber City project will be another propellant of demand for commercial and housing property. The demand for housing will go up according to estimates. People taking up the jobs linked to SmartCity will require housing and half of this group are likely to make a buy. So, the rentals will improve considerably, which is one of the best indicators of vibrant commercial activity. Thus, commercial investment in housing will improve. The market has been in the revival mode for the past three to four months, says M.D. Jairaj, president of the Kerala Builders' Association. The signing of the SmartCity agreement did bring cheer in the market. There will be more takers for property now.
